I chose to buy a reconditione4d stairlift and thus saved about 10% on the new price. The stairlift was delivered and fitted within two days of my ordering it and appeared to be in near pristine condition.
The stairlift did develop a fault after a week of use but the engineer arrived very promptly and had it fixed within 30 minutes.
All inb all I would highly recommend Acorn Stairlifts.

Probably better if buying a straight type 130 stairlift, but unable to meet specific requirements if buying a type 180 curved stairlift. Don't rely on the brochure or the initial assessment. Get comparisons and pay attention to the detail and make sure the actual function suits your needs.
