We have been having a live in carer to look after our Dad at night. Dad is up and down many times over night so his carer stays awake to ensure he stays safe. Dad has had frequent falls and is frail and confused, this overnight care means as a family we can sleep well knowing Dad is safe. We care for Dad during the day and evening. If you want the foot rest independent from the back reclining you need a dual motor , otherwise with a single motor as the footrest comes up the back will recline . The guy didn’t turn up to my appointment so I didn’t view a chair

It folds up nicely to get the seat & arm rests out of the way. It definitely is a life saver since I fractured my pelvis. I do wish it was easier to look at, especially the ugly seat color. It looks so industrial.

Had a stair lift fitted made my life a lot easier and also gave me some freedom.

We ordered our "Shelborne" rise and recline chair from Norman Furnishings Shop, in Dumfries. The service is always excellent there. We wouldnt go anywhere else. Friendly and very knowledgeable staff. The chair itself has a dual electric motor, They come in different sizes, and fabric colours, to suit everyones taste. We chose the standard size "Roma" Chair, In Ravello - Steel for the fabric colour, it matches our sofa.
